Target Grand Opening at Heritage Harbour This Sunday 8/17
Target’s Heritage Harbour Superstore Officially Opens in Bradenton this Sunday!
Bradenton, FL – Target’s much-anticipated Heritage Harbour location is now officially open. Following a soft launch Tuesday evening, which welcomed VIP guests and local officials, the 148,000-square-foot superstore is ready to serve the community.

This massive location brings several standout features that set it apart from other Targets in the region. One of the most notable is its expanded “Food Forward” strategy, offering a larger grocery footprint—though without a deli or bakery—positioning Target as a competitive alternative to local supermarkets like Publix. With food prices continuing to climb, this added selection is a welcome benefit for shoppers looking for value and variety.

Another unique highlight is the store’s integrated art and nature elements, including a full butterfly garden and custom butterfly artwork incorporated into the exterior and concrete flooring. Geometric patterns and abundant natural skylight panels create a bright, airy, family-friendly shopping experience unlike most Target stores.
The Starbucks café inside features an “airport lounge” design, overlooking the parking lot through large windows. Speaking of parking, the first few rows are shaded with canopies—offering comfort for drive-up customers and sun protection for vehicles.

For added convenience, the store also includes a separate “Wine & Spirits” liquor store at the front entrance—ideal for shoppers looking to consolidate errands into one trip.
Grand Opening Event
The official grand opening takes place Sunday morning. The first 100+ guests will receive complimentary swag bags filled with exclusive giveaways (contents to be revealed at the event). Shoppers may also have the chance to meet Bullseye, Target’s beloved mascot. Be sure to take advantage of the ongoing Tax Free Holiday for Back to School Supplies as well, which ends 8/31.

Community Involvement
Even before opening day, Target Heritage Harbour’s leadership was already giving back—recently helping paint classrooms at the Sulphur Springs Elementary School in preparation for the new academic year.
With its innovative features, expanded grocery section, and community-first approach, Target Heritage Harbour is set to become a major shopping destination for Bradenton and the surrounding Southwest Florida region.
